Thunderbird Motel

We stayed at the Thunderbird Motel on a recent trip to Santa Fe. Found out upon checkout that we stayed in a room filmed in the new movie Crazy Heart. The sunflower and shadows caught my attention while wandering around the Motel Saturday morning, coffee cup in hand while everyone else was sleeping in.

Be careful of art scams

Waiting this morning for UPS to deliver a counterfeit check from an art scammer (cockroach) I have been playing along with. Fun having them pay for overnight delivery of bogus checks. Lots of scammers out there. This website ( http://www.artnewsblog.com/2009/01/example-of-art-scammer-cockroach.htm ) has more info on the process. BE CAREFUL!

Plein Air Painting Tornado Gallery Lubbock, Texas

The Peggy Chapman Garden at the Tornado Gallery continues to provide a great place for plein air painting. This 5x7 is from last night, very quick, stems blowing in the wind. Great live music before the storm.
